I'm back again!
It's been a while that I haven't posted anything. I have decided to blog more as I'm back to my crafting endeavours after a long time. I'm going to get a small studio to myself soon. Really excited about that!

3-D Origami
I was amazed by the 3-D Origami I had seen at an exhibition a couple of years back. Thats where I got the idea for the Ganpati Decoration at Rohan Garima this year. We (i.e. me and my friend Bhagyashree) experimented with the swan first. When we got the hang of it, the lotus idea just emerged easily.
The lotus was made using more than 8000 small triangles. A lot of ladies helped in this task. It was a great success. Don't mean to brag but we did get a prize for it at the Times Green Ganesha 2012.
After Ganpati festival was over, I thought I would like to explore this art further, so I made this peacock just for the fun of it. Here's the picture of the peacock:

My miniatures
I had made these when I was all into making a dollhouse for my daughter from scratch. This furniture was meant for the kids room. Some of it broke in transit from US to India and had to redo it a little, but no harm done.
Photos of Old Cards I Made
I was browsing through my old photos when I found this one. I had made this card for an aunt and uncle's 25th Wedding Anniversary.
I've used Cricut to cut the leaves and flourishes. The roses are quilled roses.
This one I made for Mother's day 2010:
And this one for Father's Day 2010:
Sorry about the quality of these 2 photos. They were taken with a phone camera.
